He is Medical Advisor of the European Scanning Centre which is one of only two centres in the UK to use an Electron Beam CT (EBCT) scanner. Paul is a specialist in endocrinology (hormones), particularly growth disorders, and is a leading researcher into how hormones influence our predisposition to a number of cancers, especially cancer of the colon. He leads an active research team and has published over 60 research papers in the field of hormones and genetic actions in the human body. In addition he has written numerous chapters for textbooks, and is regularly invited to present his work at national and international meetings. He has a special interest in the role of genetics in disease prevention and ageing.

Stephen is a leading researcher in the genetic determinants of colonic cancer, and heads a large and productive research team, with more than 70 research papers to his name. He is one of the most highly regarded international figures in PCR gene analysis, and has written what is generally regarded as the definitive textbook in this area. He organises meetings throughout the world for researchers in this field, and is at the very forefront of new developments in genetic analysis.

Dr Roberto Motterlini
Honorary Senior Lecturer, at University College London and Head of the Vascular Biology Unit at Northwick Park Institute for Medical Research. Dr. Motterlini (PhD) is a fellow of the American Heart Association and currently leads a research team investigating the functional role of the cytoprotective enzyme heme oxygenase and its products (carbon monoxide and bilirubin) in the mitigation of cardiovascular dysfunction. He also has a strong interest in the therapeutic effects of natural compounds as activators of defensive cellular systems and has published over 90 scientific articles. As an advisor to GeneticHealth Ltd, Dr. Motterlini will be assisting in the scientific development of a range of unique and powerful antioxidants to combat the effects of free radical and toxic damage in the body.

She has recently completed a Masters Degree in Human Nutrition at King’s College London. Dr. Foresti has published over 50 research papers and has a special interest in human nutrition and nutrigenomics. She is working with our team to examine how different foods may interact with specific genes to increase the risk of common chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, obesity, heart disease, stroke and certain cancers. GeneticHealth Ltd’s nutrigenomics research program seeks to validate the theory that common chemicals in diet can affect health by altering the expression of genes.
